Home prices have been rising across most of the country for months. Values are hitting all-time highs in some cities, says USA Today.
Much of the nation, however, still finds real estate prices to be well below their peaks. These properties represent bargains in the recovering market we’re currently experiencing.
Housing data firms are reporting gains in average prices. Earlier this fall CoreLogic said prices were rising at their fastest pace in more than six years.
Real estate values have been going up steadily since last spring, according to data sources. “News on home prices confirms other good news about housing,” explain officials at the S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Indices.
“Home prices reached a 20-month high following a robust spring and summer homebuying season,” states FNC Inc. “In August, home prices rose for the sixth consecutive month, consistent with signs of strengthening market conditions that are led by rising existing-home sales and declining foreclosure activities.”
Commentators add that prices could receive another boost once the spring homebuying season gets underway. Shopping now could help you finalize a smart purchase ahead of additional rises.
